Impulse Response

Correction

Unlike the commonplace minimum-phase room correction systems, Dirac Live® is a mixed phase technology. Other than performing a first class frequency response correction, it is also a time-domain controller. It can effectively correct for the impulse response of the sound system in a large listening area, a factor critical for accurate staging, clarity and bass reproduction. An accurate impulse response will also reduce listening fatigue.

Flexible Playback

Dirac Audio Processor™ works as a "virtual soundcard" and filters all the sound that is played from the computer, regardless of the application used. In other words there is no need for specific media players or plug-ins. You can always enjoy good sound using your favorite applications. Dirac Audio Processor™ is compatible with standard sound cards and computer DACs. It has four different quick-load slots, but allows an unlimited number of filters.
