Motorsport versions of BMW X5 and BMW X6 feature Dirac Live

BMW Individual introduces the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M, the Motorsport versions of BMW's large Sports Activity Vehicles; both available with the BMW Individual High End Sound System option featuring Dirac Live. Now configurable with not only extreme road and track capabilities, but also with unparalleled interior comfort supported by this unique audiophile sound system, these remarkable cars more than enough live up to the Ultimate Driving Experience.

Dirac Live brings out the maximum potential of the sound system by controlling the audio signals fed to each of the 7.2 amplifier channels, so that the sound is perfectly calibrated to the car cabin. Applying proprietarily optimized mixed-phase calibration filters, Dirac Live reduces unwanted resonances and reflections to a minimum. Even expensive audiophile home hifi systems fail to deliver this high level of precision and staging. The power required to maintain the specially crafted loudspeakers within their linear ranges, avoiding non-linear distortion, is delivered by an 825 Watt amplifier.

To create the unique staging performance, Dirac Live also restores the coherence of sound transmissions from all loudspeakers to all listening positions. The left and right channel coherence is one of the most important prerequisites for proper stereophonic sound reproduction. Therefore, the BMW Individual High End Sound System sounds as it should!
